What process should PG owners do to run paying guest safely?
Running a PG is profitable business, no doubt on that. When a guest asks for pg on your phone. Make sure you answer all his points like how far is pg from his work location. What quality of food you provide. What all time pass and Entertainment things around the place. How safe is to live in your pg for guest. Once you answer lead and receive guest in your premises
- Verify his work place, company and location
- Specific duration of his stay
- His or hers original address verification with pan or adhar card
- Emergency contact no of guardians of hometown also contact no local guardian
- Proper proof of rent receipts, luggage carry nos
- Instruct him or her about your payment date, Food wastage policy
- Very clearly tell him 30 days notice or specific days notice period to serve before leaving. After all pg is intended for short stay
- Track his Internet and Electricity usages.
- Any specific terms like non usage of Iron box.
- Usages of common items like fridge, washing machine Wi-Fi, Dinning timings and manners
- Food menu – Pass it to him. Plus an emergency no to call for him to PG in case guest don’t need food or staying away with friends for overnight
- Behaviour with Neighbours and co guests.
- Non disturbance time like no music and phone between 11pm to 7am all days
- Any charges that will be deducted while leaving the paying guest.
- Nearby service like a car rental company, Pizza order list, laundry phone no. Give him the list of nos which is useful.
